MAGArt movements nationwide
President Trumps recent oversight of the Washington DC Kennedy Center for performing arts is a landmark in the history of America’s production, conversation, and perspective on American Art. The Golden Age of American Art is surely before us now live in real time. A comparison may be Delphi in Ancient Greece, the center an amphitheater whose architecture was tuned to perfection in order to amplify the human voice.
The non-profit Constitution Arts Society and MAGA - Make Art Great Again is a movement around the nation to encourage growth and confidence in youth, as well as all ages to get off of their cell phones for a few minutes and observe the beauty in someone they may not fully understand or necessarily agree with all the time. Our proposal is simple. Approach museums nationwide seeking community outreach programs. Rent space at a discount with our non-profit and host a Constitution Arts Society event. Our format is equally simple. We organize 20 boys and 20 girls supply them with art materials to make quick gestural sketches in pencil, pen or ink and white water color or heavy stock paper with substance. Boy draws girl, girl draws boy for 3 minutes (same timing as a boxing match round) and at the end of 3 minutes boy girl couples dance or are taught with dance instructors for 3 minutes. Then change partners.
